Wolves Spread Holiday Cheer With Annual Toy Drive

December 1, 2009 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Chicago Wolves News Release

The Chicago Wolves will collect toys for the United States Marine Corps "Toys for Tots" drive at three home games in December, beginning this Friday, December 4. The team, in its 13 season of assisting the drive, also will collect toys at the games on Saturday, December 5th, and Saturday, December 19, with the help of the players' wives and girlfriends.

Fans will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a team-autographed stick for each new, unwrapped toy they donate.

"The Wolves take pride in helping children in need have a happy holiday season," said Wolves Vice President of Operations Courtney Mahoney. "The Marine Corps does such a great job of brightening the holidays for underprivileged Chicagoland children, and the generosity of our fans - even when times are tough - always is heart warming."

Over the years, the toy drive has been highlighted by donated items such as an iTouch, roller skates and a stuffed giraffe.

The Marine Corps, social welfare agencies and local community agencies will be distributing the toys throughout December to children in the Chicago area.
