Springfield Falcons News Release

Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today that forward Bryan Lerg will be donating his hair to the charity Pantene Beautiful Lengths after visiting the De Palma Saleh Salon in Springfield on Wednesday, March 25.

"It was time for a haircut and I figured why not donate my hair towards a good cause," said Lerg, who is in his first full season with the Falcons. "I have seen many players around pro hockey do something similar and I liked the idea. I have had my head shaved in the past and I figured now was a good time to try that look again."

Lerg and the Falcons will be sending the hair donation to Pantene Beautiful Lengths, a charity campaign that allows individuals to donate hair to women who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment. Lerg had to meet the required eight inches in hair length before sending his donation to the charity.

The Falcons are back in action on Friday night when they head to Worcester, followed by a visit to Albany on Saturday. Springfield ends their weekend at home on Sunday when they host the Portland Pirates at 4 pm.
