
Former Wings Defenseman Signs Pro Contract

Former Wings defenseman Oliver Widding-Persson was called up from IK-Pantern to their affiliate in the Allsvenskan in Swedish professional hockey. The HC Allsvenskan is considered the "AAA" or level before the show. Widding-Persson played 26 games for IK Pantern scoring 4 assists. Known for his physical play in Sweden, Widding-Persson has played 110 games for IK-Pantern since scoring 7 goals and 11 assists for the Aberdeen Wings in the 2011-2012 season. The move to HC Allsvenskan marks the 2nd former Aberdeen Wings player to sign a professional contract overseas. Former Wings forward Lennart Palausch signed a pro contract with Heilbronner Falken of the DEL2 this past off-season. He has scored 6 goals and 8 assists this season.
