Fargo Force News Release
It's been 249 days since the Fargo Force played a regular season home game, but that didn't slow them down. It was an action packed first period son both sides of the ice tonight. The Force were on the board first with a goal from Austin Wong, a forward from Harvard University who was just recently added to the Force Roster. The next two goals were scored by the Stampede. The first from Jack Smith, and the second from Adam Flammang on a power-play after Casey McDonald was sent into the penalty box. However, the Force answered back with a couple goals of their own. The first from Ryan Richardson with 5:33 left to play. The next from St. Cloud State commit Mason Salquist with only :51 seconds remaining, assisted by Tristan Broz.
Period two saw some big hits and fists thrown. The action started at 4:16 when Sioux Falls tied up the game at 3-3. This was followed by a massive hit from Trevor Griebel, leading to an exchange of fists between him and Sam Rohdes of Sioux Falls. Leading to another skirmish a little over a minute later. The lone goal for the Force was scored late in the second by Jake Braccini off a feed from Austin Wong. This gave the Force a lead that the held onto for the rest of the game.
The third period was a back and forth between the two teams. Resulting in only one goal scored in the third. It came with nine minutes left to play from Jeremy Davidson off an assist from Mason Salquist straight out of a face off. This brought the Force to a total of 5 goals each scored by a different player. Fargo hits the road tomorrow to take on Sioux Falls at their home arena. The Force return to play in Fargo on November 27th.
