FARGO, ND - The Fargo Force have picked up forward Alec Marsh, a 1st round Phase 1 pick and a 2nd round Phase II pick in the 2015 USHL draft in a trade with the Sioux Falls Stampede in exchange for forward Mikey Eyssimont.

Alec Marsh is in his third year in the USHL having played for the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders from 2012-15 before being traded to the Sioux Falls Stampede this season. In three years with the RoughRiders, Marsh played in 114 games, posting 52 points with 24 goals and 28 assists. So far in the 2014-15 season with the Stampede, he's played in 20 games, scoring 1 goal and adding 8 assists. He is committed to play college hockey at Penn State University following his junior hockey career.

"Getting a first round pick is huge and Marsh is an excellent hockey player," said head coach John Marks. "He's capable of putting up numbers and is a well-rounded player. He is going to be a nice fit for our hockey team."

In exchange for Marsh, forward Mikey Eyssimont will be heading to Sioux Falls. Eyssimont joined the Force at the end of the 2012-13 season and has played in a total of 108 games since. He has tallied a total of 66 points, scoring 31 goals and adding 35 assists. He is committed to St. Cloud State University.

"As much as we didn't like to move Eyssimont", said Marks, "looking ahead, we took a very good asset to try to put ourselves in a situation for success down the road. We want to wish Mikey the best of luck with Sioux Falls and with St. Cloud State University."

Marsh will join the Force's lineup at home this Thursday and Friday at 7:05 PM to face the Tri-City Storm. He will wear jersey #9. Get your tickets at the Scheels Arena box office Monday through Friday from 11am-6pm, by calling 701.364.3672 or online at tickets300.com.
