Stampede Acquire Fargo's Leading Scorer Eyssimont

Sioux Falls, SD-The Sioux Falls Stampede announced Tuesday they have made a USHL trade deadline deal by acquiring forward Mikey Eyssimont (pronounced ICE-ee-Mahnt) from the Fargo Force in exchange for forward Alec Marsh as well a PHASE I and a PHASE II draft pick in the upcoming 2015 USHL Drafts.

Eyssimont was the leading scorer for the Force this season, posting 36 points (17g, 19a) and a plus-3 rating in 46 games. He led the team with 133 shots and four power play goals. The 6-foot, 182-pound left-handed shot tallied 30 points (14g, 16a) in 58 games last season with the Force. In January, Eyssimont was selected to participate in the USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in Dubuque.

The Littleton, Colorado native was drafted by the Force in 2012 and has already committed to play collegiate hockey at St. Cloud State University. Prior to joining the Force, Eyssimont played in the TIER I Elite League where he tallied an impressive 91 points (48g, 43a) in 40 games with the Colorado Thunderbirds.

Marsh was acquired by the Stampede from the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders in December and tallied 9 points (1g, 8a). For the season, Marsh has posted 16 points (5g, 11a) in 36 games. He has already committed to Penn State University.

Eyssimont is expected to meet the Stampede prior to their trip to Youngstown this weekend and will be eligible to play when the Herd meet the Phantoms on Friday and Saturday before traveling to Ann Arbor, Michigan on Sunday to face the U.S. Under-18 team.
