
Force Lose 106-99 to Cruise

Detroit, MI - The Sioux Falls Skyforce fell short to the Motor City Cruise 106-99 on Tuesday morning from the Wayne State Fieldhouse.
Micah Potter (28 points 11-19 FGA and 15 rebounds) has now posted back-to-back games with 20-plus points and 15-plus rebounds for the Skyforce (1-8). The contest marked Potter's third double double and 20-plus points scored in a game this season, as well. He has also led Sioux Falls in rebounding in four-of-nine games.
Brandon Knight (24 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals) has scored 24-plus points in his last four outings.
Sioux Falls paced the first quarter, shooting 58.3 percent (14-24 FGA). Potter posted 13 points on 5-6 FGA in the period, which helped the Skyforce take a 36-28 lead.
The Skyforce defense limited Motor City (6-4) in the second quarter to just 33.3 percent shooting (7-21 FGA). This helped Sioux Falls take its seventh lead at halftime this season with a 58-52 advantage.
Detroit Pistons assignee Luka Garza (26 points on 10-16 FGA and eight rebounds) put up 10 points in the third period, which helped the Cruise on their comeback effort. Motor City held a slim 86-83 lead heading to the final 12 minutes.
Sioux Falls was able to build a four-point lead in the final period, but Detroit Pistons assignee Saben Lee (22 points on 6-15 FGA and nine assists) netted 12 points on 3-5 3PA to help seal the victory for the Cruise.
Miami HEAT two-way player Marcus Garrett (14 points on 6-12 FGA, nine rebounds and two assists) had 10 points in the second half for the Skyforce. DJ Stewart added 15 points, which marks 14-plus points in five of his last six outings. Mike Smith chipped in 10 points, which marks the second time he's been in double figures scoring this season.
Detroit Pistons two-way player Jamorko Pickett added 13 points and nine rebounds for Motor City.
Both teams will meet again on Wednesday (tomorrow) in the series finale at the Wayne State Fieldhouse. Tip-off is slated for 7:00 PM CST.
