
Vipers Winning Streak Snapped in Road Loss to Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tennessee - After an undefeated start to the NBA G League Showcase Cup, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (8-1) suffer a 116-92 loss to Memphis Hustle (5-4) on Tuesday night.
Three of the Vipers starters finished the night in double-dights with Tyler Bey earning a double-double with 10 points, 14 rebounds while totaling three steals. Houston Rockets two-way player Daishen Nix recorded 22 points, five rebounds, three assists. He went 6-10 from beyond the arc on the night. Marcus Foster totaled 13 points while Christian Vital came off the bench to contribute 22 points, five rebounds.
The game was led by Memphis Jarrett Culver as he racked up 26 points, 11 rebounds and three steals. Three other Hustle players hit double figures: Yves Pons (12 points), Shaq Buchanan (16 points) and Ahmad Caver (17 points). Freddie Gillespie finished the night with 19 boards, two steals and two blocks. From off the bench, Reggie Hearn totaled 17 points.
