Aug. 21, 2008, Evansville, Ind. - Alex Fonseca went 5-6 with a double and scored four runs leading Evansville to a 15-5 win over the Midwest Sliders on Thursday night at Bosse Field. Four Evansville players had multi-hit nights and the Otters tied their season high with 18 hits including six that went for extra bases and scored in every inning but one.
Midwest battled back twice, tying the score at 3-3 in the fourth and again at 5-5 in the sixth, but Evansville scored two runs in the sixth and six runs in the seventh to put the game away. The fifteen runs scored by the Otters is the most in a single game this season.
