Follow The Sun All The Way Through WNBA Draft

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (April 6, 2010) - Connecticut Sun fans will have the opportunity to follow every move the team makes during the 2010 WNBA Draft on Thursday, April 8th.

Sun Vice President and General Manager Chris Sienko will provide updates via Twitter throughout the event. A fanfest made up of over 300 Connecticut Sun Legend 8-Year season ticket holders will take place at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville at Mohegan Sun, with Sun guard Kara Lawson serving as master of ceremonies. A camera in Margaritaville will allow fans to watch live images throughout the day by logging on to www.connecticutsun.com.

Connecticut owns the 1st , 15th and 27th picks in the draft, which will be held at 3 p.m. at the NBA Entertainment studios in Secaucus, N.J. ESPN2 will provide live coverage and analysis of the first round of the draft while ESPNU and NBA TV will broadcast the second and third rounds beginning at 4 p.m.

Also on April 8th , fans can purchase individual tickets for regular season games for the first time, and also for the marquee event of the summer, "WNBA vs. USA Basketball: The Stars at the Sun," which will be held at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, July 10th at 3:30 p.m. Tickets will be available via Ticketmaster.com, WNBA.com/tickets, or by calling 1-877-WNBA-TIX beginning at 10 a.m..

The Connecticut Sun will open its eighth season at Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, May 15th by hosting the Chicago Sky at 3:30 p.m. Season tickets, mini plans and group packages are already available for purchase, and can be reserved by calling a Sun Ticket Representative at 1- 877-SUN-TIXX (786-8499) or by visiting www.connecticutsun.com.
