adidas, HP, Spalding and T-Mobile Celebrate Women's Basketball

NEW YORK, April 6, 2010 - WNBA fans are invited to celebrate the 2010 WNBA Draft presented by adidas, through a variety of innovative activations from league partners adidas, HP, Spalding, and T-Mobile.

For the first time, fans will have the unique opportunity to speak live on draft day with the No. 1 pick through the T-Mobile #1 Pick Fan Conference Call. The call will take place at approximately 4:40 p.m. ET. and select fans will be able to speak directly with the player and ask their questions. In addition, T-Mobile will capture draftees' special moments through the T-Mobile Stick Together Lounge on WNBA.com where drafted players will call their friends and family using T-Mobile MyTouch phones to share their news and experiences from the event. Each player will also be recording a T-Mobile Stick Together Player Voicemail which will be sent out to fans via WNBA's pages on Twitter and Facebook.

HP will provide laptops for the top prospects to use during the event as they provide exclusive commentary about their draft day experience via their Twitter accounts.

In addition, all fans are invited to a special event in New York City on Wed. April 7 at the NBA Store on Fifth Avenue from 5:30 p.m. ET to 7:00 p.m. ET. It will feature a variety of fun and interactive WNBA-themed activities presented by WNBA partners, including adidas and Spalding. As presenting partner of the WNBA Draft, adidas will host the NBA Store event and showcase its assortment of WNBA and women's products. Special discounts on select WNBA merchandise, including the official adidas WNBA Draft t-shirt, will be available on wnbastore.com. Fans will also have the unique opportunity to interact with and get autographs from the top women's college basketball prospects for the WNBA Draft, legendary WNBA Stars, and WNBA and college coaches. Award-winning Sportscaster Bruce Beck (WNBC-4, New York) will serve as the event's emcee.

The 2010 WNBA Draft presented by adidas will be held on Thursday, April 8, at 3:00 p.m. ET at NBA Entertainment studios in Secaucus, N.J. ESPN2 will provide live coverage and analysis of the first round while ESPNU and NBA TV will broadcast the second and third rounds beginning at 4:00 p.m. ET.
