SERIES AT A GLANCE: The Flying Squirrels will seek their third straight win when they take on the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in game two of a three-game series at The Diamond tonight. Last night, Ehire Adrianza went 2-for-4 with an RBI, two runs scored and he belted his first career Double-A home run and Tommy Joseph went 2-for-4 with an RBI single to lead Richmond to a 3-2 victory over New Hampshire at The Diamond. Andy Reichard (1-2) limited the Fisher Cats to five hits and just one earned run in six innings pitched en route to picking up his first Double-A win. With the game tied at 1-1 in the bottom of the third, Tommy Joseph ripped an RBI single that scored Gary Brown and put Richmond in front 2-1. Ryan Cavan added an RBI double an inning later, which made it a 3-1 ballgame. Daryl Maday tossed two scoreless frames and retired all six batters he faced. Flying Squirrels closer Brett Bochy gave up a run in the top of the ninth, but he got Brian Bocock to line into an 8-4 double play and he struck out Gabe Jacobo to seal the win and earn his seventh save of the season. The Flying Squirrels went 2-4 against New Hampshire in 2011 including an 0-3 mark in the River City. Richmond is 6-9 all-time against the Fisher Cats, including the 2011 ELCS, which New Hampshire won in four games. Richmond is 1-6 all-time against New Hampshire at The Diamond, including the 2011 ELCS. The two teams will meet six times in 2012, three times in Manchester and three times in Richmond. The Flying Squirrels took two out of three from the Fisher Cats in Manchester last week.

TODAY'S PITCHERS: RHP Chris Heston vs. RHP Yohan Pino Heston: Makes his thirteenth start for the Flying Squirrels tonight. In his last start, Heston allowed seven hits and three earned runs along with one walk and six strikeouts and in seven innings pitched at New Hampshire Thursday. He earned a complete game victory in Richmond's 6-3 triumph. Tonight's game will be Heston's second career start against the Fisher Cats. He is 1-0 with a 3.86 ERA against New Hampshire. Heston currently leads the Eastern League in ERA (0.98) and WHIP (0.92) and he ranks third in opponents' average (.197). Last season, Heston went 12-4 and posted a 3.16 ERA, which led the California League, in 24 starts. with Advanced-A San Jose. His 12 wins tied him for second in the circuit behind current Squirrels teammate Craig Westcott. As a result, the 24-year-old right-hander was named a California League Mid-Season All-Star. Heston's success in San Jose came on the heels of a middling season with Low-A Augusta, in which he compiled a 5-13 mark with a 3.75 ERA in 26 starts in 2010. Heston owns a 24-24 record with a 3.06 ERA in 73 career minor league appearances, including 68 starts. The Palm Bay, Fla. native was originally selected by Minnesota in the 47th round of the 2007 June Draft, but he did not sign. He also did not sign after being picked by Washington in the 29th round of the 2008 June Draft. He signed with San Francisco after the Giants selected him in the 12th round of the 2009 June Draft out of East Carolina University.

Pino: Makes his eleventh appearance and ninth start of the season for the Fisher Cats tonight. In his last start, Pino allowed three hits and two earned runs along with a walk and a strikeout in 2.2 innings pitched against Bowie Friday. He took the loss in New Hampshire's 9-5 setback. The right-hander has also made two starts for Triple-A Las Vegas and he went 0-1 with a 13.50 ERA. Pino split the 2011 season between the Akron Aeros, Cleveland's Double-A affiliate, New Hampshire in Las Vegas. He posted a combined record of 4-8 with a 4.20 ERA in 39 appearances, including 10 starts. Tonight's game will be his second career appearance and his first start against Richmond. He is 0-0 with a 0.00 ERA in 1 IP against the Flying Squirrels. He has a career minor league record of 63-41 with three saves and a 3.91 ERA in 227 appearances, including 114 starts. He was originally signed by Minnesota as a non-drafted free agent on June 25, 2004. Pino was acquired by Toronto in a trade with Cleveland on April 16, 2011.

REMARKABLE REICHARD: Flying Squirrels starter Andy Reichard has pitched well over his last two starts, which both came against New Hampshire. On June 6, Reichard tossed three scoreless frames and did not allow a hit against the Fisher Cats in New Hampshire. The game was suspended after three innings and Reichard did not return when play resumed the following day. Last night, Reichard allowed just one earned run in six innings pitched and he earned his first Double-A win. The right-hander is 1-0 with a 1.00 ERA in two June starts, He has allowed five hits and one earned run along with three walks and nine strikeouts in nine innings pitched over this stretch.

SQUIRRELS DIG THE LONG BALL: Although the Flying Squirrels rank 11th in the 12-team Eastern League in home runs (26), Richmond has thrived in games in which Squirrels hitter delivers a home run. In last night's series opener with New Hampshire, Ehire Adrianza hit a solo home run in the bottom of the second. After the Flying Squirrels secured a 3-2 win, Richmond improved to 18-5 in games in which a Squirrels batter hits a home run. When the Flying Squirrels do not produce a home run, the club's record is just 12-29.
