Harrisburg Senators News Release
The Harrisburg Senators and Richmond Flying Squirrels played free baseball Tuesday night with Richmond coming out on top 3-2 in eleven innings. The Senators took a 2-0 lead with four straight hits in the sixth inning, but Richmond came right back and tied the game in the bottom of the sixth on back-to-back bases loaded walks. Richmond scored the winning run on the first pitch of the bottom of the eleventh when Andy Thomas singled in placed runner Carter Williams.
The Big Plays
With the score 2-2 in the top of the tenth inning, the Senators had runners at first and third with one out and Onix Vega at the plate. He went after a 2-0 pitch and hit into an inning ending double play.
On Capitol Hill
For the second straight game the Senators used five pitchers. Alex Troop struck out a career high ten batters in five innings and allowed just one hit... Evan Lee went two-thirds of an inning, walking four and allowed two runs... Jack Sinclair and Garvin Alston went 3.1 innings and didn't allow a run... Joe Peguero tossed one inning and allowed the placed runner to score in the 11th inning.
With the Gavel
James Wood had two hits including a double, drove in a run and scored a run... Jacob Young had two hits and scored a run.
Filibusters
The Senators pitching staff struck out 16 Flying Squirrels but also walked nine... Harrisburg stranded four runners in scoring position with two coming in the extra innings.

The Senators and Richmond Flying Squirrels play game two of their six-game series Wednesday from the Diamond in Richmond at 6:35 p.m. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Stations 96.5 FM, 95.3 FM, and 1400 AM beginning at 6:20 p.m.
