Summary
The Harrisburg Senators and Richmond Flying Squirrels played a good old-fashioned pitcher's duel with Richmond coming out on top 2-1. Harrisburg took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on a solo home run by James Wood. Richmond came back in the third and scored two runs on three hits, all coming with two outs and no one on base. Richmond had just two hits the rest of the game while Harrisburg had at least one hit in every inning after the first inning.
The Big Play
With the Senators leading 1-0, and two outs in the top of the third, Carter Aldrete doubled to start a two-run rally. Aldrete's double was followed by an RBI single by Wade Meckler then a run scoring double by Vaun Brown.
On Capitol Hill
Cole Henry started, went two innings, and faced the minimum six batters... Odalvi Javier took the loss, allowing four hits and two runs... Garvin Alston tossed three scoreless innings and struck out three... Reid Schaller went two innings and struck out three.
