Flames Re-Assign Giordano To Knights

The Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights announced today that the Calgary Flames, their NHL affiliate, have re-assigned defenseman Mark Giordano. He will join the Knights in Des Moines, Iowa for game four of their West Division semifinal series with the Iowa Stars on Wednesday, April 25th. Game time is 7:05 p.m.

Giordano appeared in five games for the Ak-Sar-Ben Knights this season, registering two assists. He played in 48 games for the Flames, scoring seven goals and eight assists for 15 points and 36 penalty minutes. Two of his goals were game winners. He also finished the regular season with a +7 rating. In addition, he played in four playoff games for the Flames, notching his first Stanley Cup Playoff goal in the process.

Last season, Giordano led the Ak-Sar-Ben Knights in scoring with 16 goals and 42 assists for 58 points.

Following Wednesday's game, The Knights and Stars will play game four of the series in Des Moines on Wednesday, April 25th at 7:05 p.m. The two teams return to Omaha for game five on Friday, April 27th at 7:05 p.m.
