Hamilton Bulldogs News Release


The Hamilton Bulldogs lost just their sixth home game of the season as they were edged 3-2 by the Saint John Flames on Wednesday night at Copps Coliseum.

Through 72 games the Bulldogs record stands at 47 wins, 15 losses, 6 ties and 4 overtime losses. The Bulldogs continue to lead the AHL with 104 points. Hamilton's magic point total to clinch first place overall is 10 points.

Scoring for the Bulldogs on Wednesday were Tony Salmelainen and Jani Rita.

The Flames had goals come from Matt Lombardi, Brent Kelly and Mike Mottau.

Eric Fichaud stopped 32 of 35 shots for the Bulldogs on the night. Jean-Francois Damphousse replaced Dany Sabourin and stopped 17 consecutive shots to earn the victory for the Flames.
