Admirals Sign Goaltender J.D. Hadiaris to ATO

Virginia Beach, VA – The Norfolk Admirals announced today that the team has inked goaltender J. D. Hadiaris (ha-DEE-AIR-ihs) to an amateur tryout. In keeping with club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Hadiaris, a 23-year old native of Saco, Maine, skated with the Colby College White Mules (NESCAC) in 2002-03, and finished the season ranked number one in NCAA Division III in goals against average (1.57) and was fifth nationally in save percentage (.925). Hadiaris led the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) in GAA and save percentage while posting a 10-3-0 record with six shutouts this year. He completed his career at Colby with a 23-12-1 mark and a 2.64 goals against average in 39 appearances.

The Admirals are in action tonight at Portland (Washington) at 7:05 p.m., the last contest of a five-game road swing through New England. Norfolk returns to Hampton Roads this weekend for a pair of matches against Cincinnati (Anaheim), with the first taking place at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 22. The following afternoon, Sunday, March 23, the Blue and Gold host the Ducks at 4:00 p.m.
