Flames Acquire Goaltender Kevin Poulin

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Flames announced today that they have acquired goaltender Kevin Poulin from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for future considerations. The Flames also announced that Poulin will report to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Stockton Heat.

Poulin, a native of Montreal, Quebec was originally drafted by the New York Islanders in the fifth round (126th overall) in the 2008 NHL Draft. This season, the 25-year-old was claimed off waivers by Tampa Bay on September 26, but has not seen any action.

Poulin has played 50 career NHL games for the Islanders and has a record of 18-25-3 with a 3.07 GAA and an .899 SV%.
