Port Huron, MI-The Port Huron Flags, the newest member club of the United Hockey League (UHL), proudly announce the acquisition of veteran center, Mike Bayrack.

Following the expansion draft held last Friday, The Flags made a deal with The Danbury Trashers that gave them the rights Bayrack. The Flags traded goaltender Sylvain Daigle, whom they selected as their first pick in the expansion draft, to Danbury in exchange for Bayrack.

Flags' General Manager Herb Hammond is more than happy with the outcome of Friday's draft, particularly the acquisition of Bayrack.

"[Bayrack] He's been a quality player in the league for the last two years," said Hammond. "We're extremely excited about the trade."

Bayrack, 26, racked up an impressive 73 points last year in 71 games for the Danbury Trashers. The 5-foot-11, 205 pounder, has played 14 years of professional hockey divided up between the ECHL, the UHL and the AHL. Prior to his professional career, Bayrack played six years in the Western Hockey League- WHL.

Although a signing has yet to be announced, The Flags are looking forward to adding Bayrack to their roster.
