Five Silvertips invited to NHL Draft Combine

Everett, WA- April 13, 2006 Five Everett Silvertips will take part at the annual NHL Draft Combine from May 30 to June 3 in Toronto, Ontario. Peter Mueller, Brady Calla, Leland Irving, Ondrej Fiala and Graham Potuer are among the world's top 115 draft eligible players invited to the combine.

The Draft Combine will give NHL clubs a chance to evaluate hockey's future stars just three weeks before the 2006 NHL Entry Draft in Vancouver, June 24. Each NHL club will be represented at the Combine by scouts, management and athletic training staff. The players will conduct interviews with the clubs and undergo medical examinations and fitness testing.

The 2006 NHL Entry Draft is Saturday, June 24 at General Motors Place in Vancouver, broadcast nationally in Canada on TSN and in the United States on OLN beginning at 6 p.m. EST.

The Silvertips have the most players invited to the combine from one team in the WHL and CHL. Sixteen players from the WHL have been invited to the combine.

The Silvertips will battle the Kelowna Rockets on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. from Prospera Place in Kelowna, BC in Game #5 of the Western Conference Semi-Finals. Currently the Silvertips have a 3-1 series lead in the best of seven playoff series.
