The Calgary Vipers scored five time in the second last inning to defeat the Tijuana Big Horn Sheep 6-1 in the first half of a double-header featuring two seven-innings games at Desert Sun Stadium in Yuma, Arizona. Tied 1-1 the Snakes took the lead in the sixth inning in a big way with five runs. Calgary's second half record is now 28-15 and overall the Vipers are 51-35 on the Golden Baseball League season.
Calgary wraps up the regular season against the Tijuana Big Horn Sheep in Yuma, Arizona on Sunday September 5th at 7:00 PM MDT.
The Vipers will begin the 2010 Playoffs on the road in Chico against the Outlaws with Games 1 & 2 of a best of five series on Tuesday September 7th and Wednesday September 8th with both games starting at 8:05 PM MDT.
Calgary returns home to Foothills Stadium for Game 3 of the North Division Championship Series on Friday September 10th at 7:05 PM MDT. If necessary Games 4 & 5 will also be played in Calgary on Saturday September 11th and Sunday September 12th.
