September 4, 2010 - Golden Baseball League (GBL)
Orange County Flyers News Release

Wailuku, Hawaii -- Orange County Flyers shortstop Tyler Keeble became the first rookie in GBL history with 100 hits in a season with a fifth inning single in Wednesday's 1-0 win against Na Koa Ikaika Maui. Keeble, who joined the Flyers in training camp after being drafted out of the Arizona Winter League, is batting .303 with 8 home runs and 58 RBI, both are the third most on the Flyers this season. The Mesa, Ariz., native is currently tied for fourth in the GBL with 77 runs scored on the year.

Since the league's inaugural season in 2005, 52 players have logged 100 hits in a GBL season, with 12 players already at or over the 100-hit mark this season. Keeble's teammate second baseman Jimmy Rohan is currently the GBL leader with 123 hits this season, recording a pair of hits in Friday's game to become the franchise single-season record holder, surpassing the 122 hits that Jermy Acey collected for Orange County in 2008.

Keeble played his college ball at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. This season, he has had several big games for the Flyers with 28 multi-hit games including four 4-hit games. He has played in all but one of the Flyers 82 games so far in 2010. On June 18, Keeble blasted a 2-out walk-off home run in the bottom of the 9th to beat Yuma.

Orange County is currently in Maui taking on Na Koa Ikaika in a seven-game series to wrap up the regular season.
