Texas AirHogs News Release

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas - Dillon Thomas picked up his 30th RBI of the season, and Stewart Ijames reached base three times, but the Texas AirHogs fell to the Kansas City T-Bones 6-2 at AirHogs Stadium Friday.

Zhu Jinghao (0-3) got the start for the AirHogs and turned in his best performance of the season. He limited the T-Bones to just three hits and one run over five innings. Kansas City starter Hunter Adkins (2-2) went six innings, shutting the AirHogs out to begin the game.

The T-Bones led 1-0 going to the seventh, where they tagged Qi Xin for three hits and five runs. A misplayed ball in the outfield cued up the big inning, in which all of the runs were scored with two outs.

Kansas City was led by Zach Walters, who finished with two hits, including a three-RBI triple with two outs and the bases loaded in the seventh.

Thomas finished with three hits, including an RBI single to score Yang Jin in the bottom of the seventh. Ijames racked up two hits plus a walk. He added two more plays to his defensive highlight reel in right field, making a diving catch to prevent an additional run for Zhu Jinghao in the fifth and catching a runner tagging at the plate in the eighth.

The AirHogs and T-Bones each finished with ten hits. The AirHogs benefitted from eight walks from Kansas City pitching, but left 12 runners on base.
