Brocton, MA– Five Broctkon Rox players have been named to the Northeast League All-Star Team, which will play a squad of Central League All-Stars July 20 in Fort Worth, Texas. The Rox had more players named to the NEL team than any other club in the league.

The five Rox are shortstop Saul Bustos, third baseman Jake Daubert, catcher Brian Jones, and pitchers Brian Buchanan and Tony Runion. Rox manager Ed Nottle will lead the NEL team.

Bustos will be representing the Rox at the All-Star Game for the third consecutive year.

The North Shore Spirit are sending four players to the game, while the Bangor Lumberjacks are represented by three players, and the Quebec Capitales and New Jersey Jackals are each sending two.

The rest of the NEL team is: First baseman Vic Davilla, second baseman Marcos Agramonte, and pitchers John Kelly and Jeremy Sugarman of the North Shore Spirit; designated hitter Donnie Ross, outfielder Jake Whitesides, and pitcher Jerry Long, Bangor Lumberjacks; outfielder Buck McNabb and pitcher Keith Dunn, Quebec Capitales; outfielder Wady Almonte and utility player Wilton Veras, New Jersey Jackals; utility player Dytarious Edwards, Elmira Pioneers; pitcher Jordy Alexander, New Haven County Cutters; and pitcher Alex Pena of the Aces.

"Everybody on this team is very deserving," Nottle said. "I always look forward to All-Star Games and I'm thrilled to be involved in this one. Any time you have five guys from your squad make the All-Stars, it means you have a pretty special team."

The All-Star game will be played July 20 at LaGrave Field, home of the Central League's Fort Worth Cats. For tickets or information, call (817) 226-2287 or visit www.fwcats.com.
