Five-game winning streak moves Jackals to top of Atlantic Division

With a perfect 4-0-0 record last week, the Elmira Jackals extended their winning streak to five games, and moved to the top of the Atlantic Division standings with an overall record of 12-9-0 for 24 points.

The Jackals opened the week with a come-from-behind 3-2 shootout win at Reading on Wednesday. Matt Campanale and Kevin Harvey scored during regulation for Elmira, with Harvey tying the game just 23 seconds into the final period. Dustin Gazley, Mike Radja and Jack Downing all scored in the shootout, while Brian Stewart stopped all three Reading shooters to preserve the win for Elmira.

On Friday, and Elmira and Trenton met in a back-and-forth affair at First Arena, with the Jackals once again prevailing in a shootout, 5-4. Downing and Harvey each had a goal and an assist for Elmira, while Stewart made 38 saves in regulation and overtime, and once again was perfect in the shootout stopping all four Titans' attempts.

Saturday marked the lone game of the week for Elmira not decided in a shootout as the Jackals registered a 3-1 win over Reading. After spotting the Royals an early 1-0 lead, Jordan Pietrus pulled the Jackals even late in the first period, while Radja put Elmira ahead to stay two minutes later and then set the final with an insurance goal late in the third period.

Elmira closed the week with a 2-1 shootout win at Trenton on Sunday. Stewart was once again strong in goal, turning aside 31 Titans' shots and Radja forced the extra session with his 12th goal of the season 6:41 into the third period. Downing and Artem Demkov scored for Elmira in the shotout, while Stewart preserved the win, stopping all four Trenton attempts.

On the season, Stewart has stopped all 16 shootout attempts he has faced, helping the Jackals to four shootout wins, tied for the most in the league.

With six goals in his last seven games, Radja has taken over the team lead and moved into a tie for third in the league, with 12 goals on the season. His 21 points also pace the club, and are tied for 10th in the league.

Demkov is tied for second among rookies with 10 goals, while fellow rookie Gazley is tied for sixth among first-year players with 15 points (4g-11a).

The Jackals continue their season-long seven-game road trip this week with games in Florida on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Ontario's Christie moves into tie for fifth place on ECHL all-time wins list

With a 4-0 win on Friday at Stockton, Ontario Reign head coach Jason Christie moved into a tie for fifth place with Jeff Brubaker and Malcolm Cameron on the ECHL's all-time wins list with 317 career wins.

Christie began his ECHL coaching career with Peoria in 2000-01 and was 217-101-42 in five seasons with the Rivermen. He joined Utah in 2005-06 and was 90-102-24 in three seasons with the Grizzlies. In his first season with the Reign, Christie is 10-7-2, and has his club just four points behind Las Vegas for first place in the Pacific Division.

Ahead of Christie on the list is Frank Anzalone, who won 332 games with Nashville, Roanoke, Pee Dee and Johnstown while Jeff Pyle ranks third with 446 wins with Mobile and Gwinnett.

John Brophy, a 2009 inductee into the ECHL Hall of Fame, is second in league history with 480 wins, while John Marks, who last week was announced as a 2012 inductee into the ECHL Hall of Fame, is the league's all-time leader with 491 wins.

Toledo jersey attracts national attention

The Toledo Walleye unveiled a new, alternate jersey on Saturday to rave reviews. Prior to the weekend's action, CNBC Sports Business Reporter Darren Rovell and ESPN SportsCenter anchor John Buccigross each tweeted about the jersey.

The new jersey features Toledo Walleye in a circle around a swimming version of a walleye.

ATLANTIC DIVISION

- Elmira is on a five-game winning streak for the first time since Feb. 5-13, 2009.

- Mike Radja is tied for the league lead with 95 shots.

- Elmira is at Florida on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

- The Royals' penalty kill has allowed just 4 goals in their last 48 opportunities, which translates into a 91.7% kill ratio.

- Yannick Tifu, who was acquired from the Chicago Express on Monday, registered his first point as a Royal with an assist in Friday's game against Wheeling.

- The Royals are home against Trenton on Thursday, and travel to Wheeling on Friday before hosting the Nailers on Sunday.

- The Titans have registered a 6-3-3 record over the last month.

- Rob Bordson had a six-game goal-scoring streak end on Sunday, and leads the club in scoring with 21 points (9g-12a).

- Trenton hosts Wheeling on Wednesday, is at Reading on Thursday and is at Wheeling on Saturday.

- The Nailers lead the ECHL with 3.71 goals per game.

- Chris Barton netted two goals this weekend, raising his season totals to 14 goals and 23 points - the most for a rookie in the ECHL.

- Wheeling is at Trenton on Wednesday, hosts Reading on Friday and Trenton on Saturday, and is at Reading on Sunday.

NORTH DIVISION

- Chicago earned 7 of 12 points on its six game road trip.

- Blair Riley leads the Express with 16 points (7g-9a).

- The Express host Kalamazoo on Wednesday and Friday before traveling to Kalamazoo on Saturday.

- Cincinnati is second in the league with 27.63 shots-against per game.

- Anthony Luciani is on a four game assist streak.

- The Cyclones are at Toledo on Friday, and host Toledo on Saturday.

- Kalamazoo is 5-0-0 when leading on the road after one period.

- Brandon Svendsen leads the league in game-winning goals with five and is tied for the league in power-play points with 12.

- The K-Wings are at Chicago on Wednesday and Friday, host Chicago on Saturday, and are at Toledo on Sunday.

- Toledo is 7-3-0 in its last ten games.

- Walleye forward Trevor Parkes has 3 goals in his first 3 games with Toledo.

- Toledo hosts Cincinnati on Friday, travels to Cincinnati on Saturday, and hosts Kalamazoo on Sunday.

SOUTH DIVISION

- Florida has outscored opponents 25-12 in the first period.

- John Muse is tied for fourth in the ECHL with a .928 save percentage.

- Florida hosts Elmira on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

- The Road Warriors are 35.3 percent (6-for-17) on the power play in their last four games.

- Jeff Prough scored his 100th ECHL goal on Saturday at Cincinnati.

- Greenville hosts Gwinnett on Thursday and South Carolina on Friday.

- The Gladiators lead the Eastern Conference with 27 points.

- David Rutherford scored two goals on Saturday, increasing his team lead in goals and points (10g-10a).

- Jack Combs (32) and Chad Costello (30) rank first and second in the league in points

- The Eagles are at Idaho on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

- Idaho has played the fewest home games (6) and is tied for the most road games (15) in the ECHL.

- Jerry Kuhn stopped 105 of 111 shots in two games against Las Vegas over the weekend, producing the top two single-game save performances (55 saves and 50 saves) in team history.

- The Steelheads host Colorado on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

- Utah is 11-0-1 in one-goal games.

- Matt Reber has a team season-high seven-game scoring streak with three goals and ten assists.

- Utah is in Alaska on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

PACIFIC DIVISION

- Scott Freeman is second among ECHL rookies with 22 points (10g-12a).

- Matthew Sisca leads all rookies with 76 shots.

- Bakersfield hosts Stockton on Friday and then travels to Stockton for games on Saturday and Sunday.

- Las Vegas leads the ECHL with 36.52 shots per game.

- Josh Lunden, Ash Goldie and Mike Madill each scored their first goals of the season on Saturday against Idaho.

- The Wranglers host Stockton on Tuesday and Ontario on Thursday and Friday before traveling to Ontario on Saturday.

- Coach Jason Christie moved into a tie for fifth place in all-time ECHL coaching victories with 317.

- Chris Carrozzi stopped 40 shots in 4-0 shutout of Stockton on Friday.

- Ontario is at Las Vegas on Thursday and Friday and hosts Las Vegas on Saturday.

- Stockton is leads the ECHL with seven road wins.

- Olivier Roy is tied for the ECHL lead with two shutouts, and ranks fourth with a .928 save percentage.

- The Thunder are at Las Vegas on Tuesday and at Bakersfield on Friday, then host Bakersfield on Saturday and Sunday.
