Chicago Express News Release
Hoffman Estates, IL - The Chicago Express, proud member of the ECHL and proud affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, fell twice to the Toledo Walleye, each by 4-1 scores, going winless in a week for the first time in team history. Chicago is now 11-7-1-1 overall, and their 24 points places them in second place in the North Division, just one point behind Kalamazoo.

Chicago trailed 2-0 heading into the third period when F Mike Embach scored 35 seconds into the final frame, bringing the Express back to within one. However, Toledo RW Trevor Parkes scored on a power play with less than five minutes remaining and C Bryon Froese tallied an empty-netter with less than a second left for the final 4-1 score.

For the second straight game, Toledo jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals from LW Aaron Lewicki and RW Trevor Parkes. RW Chaz Johnson answered for the Express with 16 seconds left in the first period to put the Express on the board and cutting the lead to 2-1. Lewicki got his second of the game shorthanded late in the second period, and Parkes followed up with his third goal in two games against Chicago as the Express were defeated 4-1.
Team Notes:
D Scott Lehman, who had been on the 21-day IR since training camp, played in his first game for Chicago on Wednesday. After having an even number of shots-on-goal with Toledo on both Wednesday and Saturday, the Express are a combined 2-5-0 when shots are even or they out-shoot their opponent. Conversely, Chicago is 9-2-2 when being out-shot.Despite losing two games to Toledo last week, the Express still have an overall record of 8-6-0 within their division, and are just one point out of first place.Chicago plays Kalamazoo three times this week, with six points in the standings on the line between the two clubs. The Wings currently have a one point lead in the North Division over the Express.F Bobby Robins tied a team record for PIM in a game when he had 24 on Saturday.
