The Vancouver Giants are proud to announce 17 year old defenceman MARK FISTRIC has been selected to play in the 2004 Home Hardware Canadian Hockey League/National Hockey League Top Prospects Game.

The game features 40 of the best draft eligible players for the upcoming NHL Entry Draft from the Western Hockey League, Ontario Hockey League, and the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. This year's Top Prospects Game will take place January 21 at the John Labatt Centre in London, Ontario.

"Mark certainly has earned the opportunity to be invited to play at a great event such as the Top Prospects Game," says Giants General Manager Scott Bonner. "NHL scouts have been impressed with his play through the first half of the season and this will give him another chance to show them what kind of player he is."

Fistric, a 6'3", 220lbs d-man from Edmonton, Alberta is into his 2nd season with the Giants. In 45 games this season, he has 1 goal, 5 assists, and 102 penalty minutes.

Fistric is the only Giants player named to this event. He is one of 19 WHL players who will play in this game. Current Vancouver Giants Todd Ford and Andy Thompson took part in the 2002 Top Prospects Game.
