Four Hitmen players selected to CHL's Top Prospects Game

The Calgary Hitmen are pleased to announce that 4 players – the most from any CHL team this year - have been selected to play in the 2004 CHL/NHL Home Hardware Top Prospects Game January 21st in London, Ontario. This is the highest number of players ever selected from the Calgary Hitmen and most from any CHL team this year to play in the showcase event

Selected from the Calgary Hitmen were Defencemen Brett Carson, Andy Rogers, and Jeff Schultz, and rookie forward Andrew Ladd. Ladd is currently 2nd in Rookie scoring for the WHL.

"The entire Hitmen organization is very proud of our guys for being selected with this honor. Our scouts should be commended for recognizing these individuals as promising young players and bringing them into the Hitmen system, as well as our excellent coaching staff for developing them into future NHL'ers." Noted Calgary GM Kelly Kisio.

The game will showcase 40 of the CHL's top players that are eligible for selection in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft that will be held in Raleigh, N.C. on June 26 and 27. The players were selected by the National Hockey League's 30 teams.

More than 300 players have suited up in the Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game and gone on to be selected in the NHL Entry Draft, including all 40 players who played in the game last year.
