
Fisher Cats Score Six in Second En Route to 11-5 Win

New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
(Manchester, NH)-Moises Sierra and Callix Crabbe each hit three-run homers in the bottom of the second inning and the Fisher Cats rolled to an 11-5 win over New Britain on Wednesday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
The Fisher Cats (11-6), in winning for the sixth time in the last seven games, blew the game open in the second against losing pitcher Deolis Guerra (2-2). Ricardo Nanita (2-for-3) singled, Mark Sobolewski singled and Crabbe homered in his first at-bat of the season. Rajai Davis, who continued his rehab assignment for the Toronto Blue Jays, doubled. Adeiny Hechavarria (3-for-4, 3 R, SB, BB) walked and Sierra hit his third home run of the season to make it 6-0.
New Hampshire extended the lead to 7-0 when Nanita led off the bottom of the third with a solo homer. And they put two more up in the bottom of the fourth inning. Anthony Gose walked, Hechavarria singled, Sierra's RBI single and Mike McDade's RBI double made it 9-0.
Rey Gonzalez (2-1) had his second consecutive strong start against the Rock Cats. He worked the first seven innings, allowing eight hits and two runs. He did not walk a batter and struck out five.
New Britain (9-8) put its first two runs on the board in the top of the fifth with three consecutive two out hits. Allen de San Miguel singled, Chris Cates singled and Mark Dolenc tripled them both in to make it 9-2.
The Fisher Cats made it 10-2 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Yan Gomes hit New Hampshire's fourth home run of the contest.
The Rock Cats added two in the eighth on an RBI single by pinch-hitter Dan Rohlfing to make it 10-4.
The last New Hampshire run came in the bottom of the eighth when Hechavarria tripled and scored on a single by Justin Jackson, who drove in a run in his first Double-A at bat.
The Fisher Cats and Rock Cats conclude the series on Thursday evening at 6:35pm. RHP Bobby Lanigan (1-2, 3.52) will start for New Britain against New Hampshire RHP Chad Beck (2-0, 0.60).
