January 7, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Quad City Riverhawks News Release
Davenport - The "Money Game" scheduled for Monday, January 8 at 7:05pm at the Field House Sports Complex (formerly Marycrest) has turned into more than just a game for additional money and bragging rights.
The #4 ranked Minnesota Ripknees (12-4) lost their Sunday afternoon matinee to the #21 ranked Sauk Valley Rollers 114-108. The win put the Rollers at the .500 mark as they look to make a late season move in the North Division - White Conference. The loss means the winner of Monday's game will hold on to or take over the lead in the division.
The Riverhawks take on the Twin City Ballers on Thursday, January 11 at 7:05pm and the #23 ranked Peoria Kings (8-10) return to the Quad Cities to compete for the traveling trophy in the "War on 74" Friday, January 12 at 7:05pm sponsored by NewsChannel 8, WQAD-TV. Tickets are available by logging onto www.etix.com, calling the Riverhawks office at 563/445-2375 or are available at the Field House Sports Complex (formerly Marycrest) prior to the game.
