Windy City ThunderBolts News Release
Crestwood, IL - Looking to continue distancing themselves from the rest of the Frontier League's Central Division, the red hot Windy City ThunderBolts finish their series in Chillicothe over the weekend and then come home for six games beginning on Tuesday.
The homestand kicks off with the ThunderBolts hosting the Florence Freedom for three games. Before the game on Tuesday, the Principal Financial Group Family Fun Fest will be in the Hawk Ford Field parking lot from 4:00-7:00pm. The Fun Fest is a completely free baseball festival with bounce houses, batting cages, video games, and much more.
The first 1,000 fans on Tuesday will also receive yo-yos courtesy of A.J. Smith Federal Savings Bank. Fireworks presented by Palos Bank and Trust will follow immediately after the game on Wednesday night. The final game with the Freedom on June 21 will be a Miller Lite Thirsty Thursday. Draft beers and fountain sodas are only $1.00 all game long. All games against Florence kick off at 7:05pm.
The ThunderBolts will then host the Chillicothe Paints for another three game series beginning on June 22. At Friday's game, baseball banks will be presented to the first 1,000 fans courtesy of First Midwest Bank. Following the conclusion of Saturday's game, there will be a fireworks display for all fans to enjoy. The homestand wraps up on Sunday with a water bottle giveaway to the first 1,000 fans courtesy of Sertoma Speech and Hearing Center. The first two games against Chillicothe start at 7:05pm with Sunday's contest set for 3:05pm.
Sunday is also a Daily Southtown Sunday Family Day. Families of three or more receive $2.00 off the price of lower deck tickets. Families also get coupons that are good for a discount at the concession stands on certain items. There will be a post-game autograph session with the ThunderBolts players and other family entertainment will be on hand during the game.
