
Otters slide by Slippery Rock in rubber game

Evansville, IN - The Evansville Otters took the deciding game of a three game series against the Slippery Rock Sliders by a final score of 2-1 on Friday night at Bosse Field.
Starting pitcher Justin Jordan picked up his second win of the year after seven strong innings of work, allowing just one earned run on five hits while striking out four Slider batters. Mike Bille successfully saved his eighth game of the year, extending the all-time Otter's save record to 28. Kyle Smith went 2 for 4 at the plate, driving in a run on a two out single in the 5th, while J.C. Field provided a two out RBI of his own plating Tim Auty for the game winning run in the 7th.
Evansville is back in action tomorrow night at Bosse Field hosting the Washington Wild Things at 7:05.
