
First Nations Night Wednesday, Home Games Ahead

Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers will be hosting their annual First Nations Night on Wednesday, February 5th when they host the Edmonton Oil Kings. The Blazers will play four home games in six nights over the next week.
Fara Palmer will be here to sing the anthem and also will perform in the intermissions in the Rivers Room. Sage Hill Drummers will perform the Honor Song prior to the start of the game and will perform during the second intermission.
Young Kamloops Indian Band hockey players will play a game on the ice in the first intermission. There will also be plenty of First Nations booths set up on the concourse to showcase the culture.
The Blazers host the Victoria Royals on Friday, February 7th on Home Depot Night. The first 3000 people through the doors will be given noise makers. It is also an A&W Teen Burger Night and the WHL will be recognizing Dennis Coates with the WHL Distinguished Service Award for his contributions to the Kamloops franchise over the years.
There will be a Heart and Stroke Fundraiser with $5 raffle tickets available. The winner of the raffle will receive a Trip for 2 anywhere WestJet flies and a set of red luggage. All proceeds from the raffle will go to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in support of Heart Month.
Saturday night, the Blazers host the Calgary Hitmen. There will be a Dolson's Supersport game featuring Novice teams from the Kamloops Minor Hockey Association in the first intermission.
Finally, Monday February 10th is B.C. Family Day.
