Brooklyn, NY, June 11, 2003 ¯ On Saturday, June 14th between 11 AM and 1:30 PM fans will have an opportunity to meet several members of the 2003 Brooklyn Cyclones. The players will be at the Cyclones' kiosk at Kings Plaza Mall signing autographs and talking baseball with fans. The Cyclones kiosk is located on the lower level of the mall outside of Modell's, where Sandy the Seagull will be helping to keep the shelves stocked with the Cyclones newest merchandise. The Brooklyn Cyclones are the Class-A affiliate of the New York Mets. In their inaugural season the team compiled a 52-24 record on its way to winning the New York-Penn League Championship. In 2002, they followed up by breaking their own Short Season Class-A attendance record with 317,124 fans. Former New York Met Tim Teufel was recently named manager for the upcoming season. The team plays its home games at KeySpan Park, the 7,500-seat stadium in Coney Island. Box office hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Ticket information is available by calling 718-449-TIXS, by visiting the team's website at www.brooklyncyclones.com, or by calling the Shea Stadium box office at 718-507-TIXX.
