ABOUT LAST GAME: Columbia tallied season highs in runs and hits (17) and stomped the BlueClaws on Sunday, 10-7. Sunday was the third time in five days the Fireflies scored nine or more runs. Every Columbia batter smacked at least one hit and five recorded multi-hit games.

WHAT'S AT STAKE: Columbia can stretch its win-streak to a season-best six in a row with a win over Lakewood on Monday. A victory would also clinch the club's second series sweep of the year (April 16-18 @ Greenville). This would be the club's first four (or longer)-game series sweep since the Fireflies defeated Charleston in five straight (scheduled doubleheader added to initial four-game series) from June 9-12, 2017.

HITS ON HITS ON HITS: Columbia has tallied 32 hits over the last two games. Combined the Fireflies and BlueClaws have drilled 68 total base hits in three games. The big frame for Columbia on Sunday was the sixth inning when the club tallied six runs and a franchise-record eight hits. The Fireflies have scored six in an inning five times already in 2018.

THE WOLF IS STRONGEST AS A PACK: Columbia has faced a deficit in the sixth inning or later in its last four games. Pedro Lopez's team won all four.

WELCOME TO THE BIGS: On Sunday, the Mets (Columbia's parent club) added 2016 Firefly P.J. Conlon to its roster. The former SAL All-Star and Mets Minor League Pitcher of the Year is scheduled to make his Major League debut on Monday @ Cincinnati (7:10 ET) and will become the second Firefly to reach the majors (see bottom right corner of page).

THE STREAK: Jeremy Vasquez collected three hits on Sunday and has now reached base safely in 29 straight games - the third-longest streak in all of professional baseball (MLB & MiLB) and a Fireflies franchise record:

1. 31, Odubel Herrera (Philadelphia Phillies)

2. 30, Tyler White (Fresno Grizzlies, HOU, AAA)

3. 29, Jeremy Vasquez (NYM, A)

4. 28, Drew Ferguson (Fresno Grizzlies, HOU, AAA)

After consecutive three-hit nights, Vasquez now leads the SAL in batting average (.357), on-base percentage (.472) and walks (23).

DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH: Ten of the last 13 games Columbia has played in have been decided by two runs or fewer.
