Columbia whacked a season-high 16 hits on Monday. One of which a HR off of Jeremy Vasquez's bat:

ABOUT LAST GAME: The Fireflies exploded for a season-high 16 hits en route to an 8-3 victory over the Suns in the series opener. Edgardo Fermin, Blake Tiberi, Jeremy Vasquez, Rigoberto Terrazas, Walter Rasquin, and Scott Manea all produced multi-hit games.
RED HOT: Blake Tiberi is one of the hottest hitters in the South Atlantic League to start the season. Columbia's second baseman leads the league with 11 hits and a .524 batting average through five contests. The 23-year-old already has three three-hit performances.
START ME UP: Columbia's starting pitchers have all turned in splendid performances to begin the year. In 24 innings, the rotation holds a 1.50 ERA this season.

THE BIG INNING: The Fireflies scored six of its eight runs in the second inning alone on Monday night. That's already the second time the club has tallied six runs in a frame this season - the other being on Friday against Augusta. The franchise record happened back on April 18, 2016 when Columbia pushed eight runs across in the eighth inning of that contest vs. Charleston (13-1 win).
