
Bahr and Ziegler Steal the Show

Greensboro, NC: The Augusta GreenJackets 5-0 win over the Greensboro Grasshoppers was the result of two spectacular performances from Jason Bahr and Malique Ziegler.
Bahr who started for the GreenJackets, was dominate all game. He consistently was up in the count on hitters which left them off-balance all night. Bahr struck out nine Grasshoppers over 5 and 2/3 innings. The Grass-hoppers only managed to get two hits off of him.
On the offensive side, it was Ziegler's night. He went 3-4 with one RBI and two runs scored. Ziegler hit an-other solo home run tonight, which is now back to back games with a home run for him. Until the 8th inning, Ziegler had the only two hits on the board for the GreenJackets.
Once the game got the 9th inning, the GreenJackets had a 2-0 lead. Then the game started to unravel for the Grasshoppers. Colton Hock would give up three more runs as the GreenJackets put the game out of reach.
Other notable performances included Heliot Ramos, who got his first RBI as a GreenJacket when he knocked in Logan Baldwin. Also Eduardo Rivera impressed in his relief appearance throwing 2 and 1/3 innings, giving up no hits and striking out four.
The GreenJackets will go for the sweep tomorrow morning as they face the Grasshoppers in the final game of the series at 10:45 am.
