Flint Firebirds Sport "Flint Tropics Night" Uniforms

Flint, Mich. - Today is the day! After coming off a 3-2 victory over the #4 ranked Kitchener Rangers Friday night, the Flint Firebirds return back to home ice for game action and you don't want to miss it. Saturday, February 13th is "Flint Tropics Night" at the Dort Federal Event Center as the Firebirds host the Owen Sound Attack at 7:30 p.m. (EST).
The Firebirds will be wearing special themed jerseys, pants and socks throughout the game that are sure to impress everyone in attendance. There will be a live jersey auction following the game giving fans an opportunity to take home the game-worn Flint Tropics jersey of their choice.
In addition, there will be two $500 travel gift certificates courtesy of Tropi-Tan and Goodwill Industries that a pair of lucky fans in attendance will have the chance to win. There will also be special reenactments and video clips from the movie Semi-Pro, tropical themed music, Flint Tropics merchandise and many more fun and entertaining events throughout the night.
Also at the Dort Federal Event Center tonight is the first "Chrome and Ice" winter car show, sponsored by Back to the Bricks and Buick. A "summertime, beach party" theme will be featured, complete with sand and palm trees, and entertainment by a California-based "Beach Boy" cover band, the inaugural concours style event, showcasing "Rare & Unusual" cars, begins at 9 a.m. and lasts until 6 p.m. Chrome and Ice attendees can redeem their admission ticket to the Dort Federal Event Center Box Office and receive $5 off a $15 Silver Level ticket to the Firebirds game as an added bonus courtesy of Pepsi.
There are three players on the Flint Firebirds roster that are drafted in the National Hockey League. Firebirds' captain Alex Peters and goaltender Brent Moran were both selected by the Dallas Stars in the 2014 NHL Draft. Most recently, Vili Saarijärvi was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings this past June in the 2015 NHL Draft. Owen Sound also has three players drafted in the NHL consisting of Liam Dundra (St. Louis), Jaden Lindo (Pittsburgh) and Thomas Schemitsch (Florida).
Flint's Will Bitten, Nicholas Caamano and Luke Kirwan are expected to be selected in the 2016 NHL Draft this June in Buffalo, NY.
