
Firebirds Fight Hunger Returns for this Friday and Saturday's Games at the Dort Financial Center

Your Flint Firebirds are kicking off the New Year with a pair of games on home ice this weekend, hosting the Soo Greyhounds Friday and the Kitchener Rangers Saturday. Puck drop is set for 7:00 pm both nights at the Dort Financial Center.
The Firebirds are partnering with the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan for the seventh -annual "Firebirds Fight Hunger" campaign. This Friday and Saturday ONLY, fans are encouraged to bring a minimum of five non-perishable food items to the game(s) in exchange for a FREE complimentary silver ticket, courtesy of Dort Financial Credit Union, Sysco Detroit, The View Newspaper Group, and Big John's Steak & Onion.
If you're planning on donating a minimum of FIVE non-perishable food items and would like to avoid the long lines, we are accepting donations prior to the game(s) at the Dort Financial Center box office today until 5:00 p.m., beginning tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. and Saturday at Noon. After 5:30 pm on both game days, donations will be accepted at the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan table in the main lobby.
