Rangers Complete Trade with Mississauga

Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. - The Kitchener Rangers announced today that the club has completed a trade with the Mississauga Steelheads.

In the trade, Kitchener acquires from Mississauga Sudbury's fourth-round pick in the 2023 OHL Priority Selection, Mississauga's fifth-round pick in the 2025 OHL Priority Selection and Mississauga's fourth-round pick in the 2026 OHL Ptriority Selection. In return, the Rangers trade forward Adam Zidlicky and Barrie's fourth-round pick in the 2023 OHL Priority Selection to the Steelheads.

"We'd like to thank Adam for his contributions on and off the ice to the Kitchener Rangers Hockey Club," said Kitchener Rangers General Manager Mike McKenzie. "We wish Adam nothing but success in Mississauga moving forward."

This season, the Prague, Czech Republic native has recorded 12 points (5G, 7A) and a minus-four rating in 30 games. A Rangers' sixth-round pick in the 2021 OHL Priority Selection, Zidlicky has totaled 25 points (11G, 14A) in 92 career games in Kitchener.

The Rangers continue their five-day road trip, facing the Saginaw Spirit Wednesday at the Dow Event Center. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m. The Rangers' next home game is on Friday, Jan. 13 when the Blueshirts host the Oshawa Generals in a nationally televised game on TSN.
