
FireAntz Sign Defenseman Rob Meanchoff

[Fayetteville, N.C.] â The Fayetteville FireAntz of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) announced yesterday that the club has signed defenseman Rob Meanchoff.
Meanchoff, a 5'11'' 190 pound defenseman, from Markham, Ontario played 4 games with the Knoxville Ice Bears this season. In those 4 games, he registered 2 assists and 7 penalty minutes. Last year, playing for the Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League (CHL), Meanchoff tallied 4 goals and 9 assists for 13 points in 64 games.
In addition, FireAntz defenseman John Jarram has been recalled to the South Carolina Stingrays of the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL.) Jarram, a 6'1'' 210 pound defenseman from Kitchener, Ontario had 4 points and 6 assists in 12 games played for the FireAntz this year.
"This is great for John Jarram and great for our organization." Head Coach Derek Booth added, "John is very deserving to be called up and that's what this league is all about. These guys come here to develop as players and as young men. This move is a positive sign about our league and our organization, that we are doing our part in preparing these guys for the next level."
