
FireAntz Acquire Keller

[FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.] - The Fayetteville FireAntz of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) announced yesterday that the club has completed a three-player trade with the Huntsville Havoc. The FireAntz acquired forward Justin Keller in exchange for forward Edan Welch and defenseman Jordan Weibel. The FireAntz also received future considerations.
Keller, a 6'0'', 195-pound left wing from Sturgis, Saskatchewan joins the FireAntz as the third leading scorer in the SPHL. In 31 games played he tallied 17 goals, 28 assists and 45 points. Additionally, Keller has nine goals and 18 assists while on the power play. His 27 points while on the man-advantage leads the SPHL.
The Havoc received forward Edan Welch and defenseman Jordan Weibel in the deal. Welch, with 36 points on nine goals and 27 assists, is tied for 12th in the league in scoring. He was the FireAntz second leading scorer, behind Tim Velemirovich (41 points.). Weibel, a promising young blue-liner, totaled seven points on three goals and four assists in 30 games played.
Keller is expected to be in the lineup for the FireAntz in their next scheduled game, at home, on Thursday, January 31st as the FireAntz play host to the Havoc. Puck drop is 7:35 pm at the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville.
