Saint Louis FC News Release

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Saint Louis FC has received a pair of loanees from the Chicago Fire, the club's MLS affiliate, announcing the additions of Mike Magee and Kingsley Bryce Friday.

"This loan is a great opportunity for Kingsley to get meaningful games under his belt," Chicago Head Coach and Director of Soccer Frank Yallop said. "He's a young player and this move can only help him as he continues to develop."

Selected in the second round (28th overall) of the 2015 MLS SuperDraft, Bryce spent four years at Saint Louis University, where he scored 23 goals and added 12 assists in 79 matches. The Plano, Texas product was an All-Atlantic 10 Conference Second Team and A-10 All-Championship Team selection in 2013. In his junior season with the Billikens, Bryce recorded a team-high four game-winning goals, tied for the most in the A-10.

"Our partnership with the Fire is all about giving players an opportunity to get more playing time and continue their development process," Saint Louis FC General Manager Jeremy Alumbaugh said. "We hope to provide those same opportunities to Kingsley in his return to St. Louis."

The 2013 MLS MVP, Magee underwent a right hip procedure to address an injury of the labrum and to repair articular surface damage on Sept. 9, 2014. Magee will join STL FC on a short term loan as he recovers from the injury.

"As Mike is now in the final stretch in his return from surgery, we thought that it would be good for him to join Saint Louis FC for the weekend to gain additional match fitness," Yallop added.

Both players will be with STL FC when the team travels to face USL rivals Louisville City FC on Saturday night. Bryce and Magee join Fire Homegrown defender Patrick Doody and goalkeeper Alec Kann on loan with Saint Louis FC.
