Staten Island, NY - Due to severe rain overnight and a gloomy Sunday forecast, the Sunday afternoon finale between the Auburn Doubledays and the Staten Island Yankees has been canceled without a scheduled makeup.
The Doubledays will now enjoy an elongated All-Star Break, with Monday and Tuesday off for All-Star festivities. Matt Skole, Bryce Ortega, and Hendry Jimenez will all travel to Lowell, Massachusetts to participate in the New York-Penn League All-Star Game scheduled for Tuesday night.
After the All-Star Break, Auburn returns home for a six-game homestand at Falcon Park in Auburn, New York starting on Wednesday night. The Doubledays welcome the Aberdeen Ironbirds to town for a three-game series, followed by three games with the State College Spikes. First pitch on Wednesday night is scheduled for 7:05pm.
