
Tigers-Spike Game Cancelled Due to Rain

STATE COLLEGE, PA - Tonight's game between the Connecticut Tigers and the State College Spike has been cancelled due to rain. The teams will not make up the game, because this is the final time that they will meet this season.
The Tigers now head into the All-Star break and will return home following the All-Star Game with a seven-game homestand over a six-day span. The homestand begins on Wednesday night with a doubleheader against the Staten Island Yankees, Class A affiliate of the New York Yankees.
Game one is set for 5:05 PM.
Additionally, the 2011 NYPL All-Star Game will be broadcast live locally on 1310 AM WICH and internationally on cttigers.com, with "Road Voice of the Tigers" Justin Sheinis on the play-by-play. All-Star coverage will begin with a special 30-minute pregame show at 7:00 PM and first pitch following at 7:30 PM.
