Wausau, WIS - The Wisconsin Woodchucks (13-21) fell to the Madison Mallards (22-13), 4-3, at Athletic Park in Wausau, Wisconsin.
George Janca (Texas A&M) drove in Steele Walker (Oklahoma) with a two-out, pinch-hit RBI double to tie the game, 3-3, in the bottom of the eighth, but Madison scratched out an unearned run to win it in the ninth.
Tony Gudino (UC-Riverside) doubled in his Woodchucks debut.
In another 'Chucks debut, Reggie Meyer (Minnesota) gave up just two runs in five innings while striking out three.
Evy Ruibal (Notre Dame) threw a scoreless inning of relief for the 'Chucks.
