The Portland Sea Dogs defeated the Reading Fightin Phils 4-0 despite Severino Gonzalez turning in six solid innings

Reading found ways to get on base against the Sea Dogs but couldn't bring in a run as they lost 4-0 to Portland. The Fightin Phils are now 14-14 on the season and look to salvage a win on Wednesday morning against Portland.

The Sea Dogs scored their first run off Severino Gonzalez in the top of the third innings as Travis Shaw hit a RBI single with one out. Blake Swihart and Henry Ramos hit back-to-back RBI singles with two outs in the third to give Portland a 3-0 lead. Portland's fourth run came in the top of the fourth inning off Gonzalez as Mookie Betts hit a RBI single.

Severino Gonzalez threw six innings and allowed four runs off six hits with two walks and two strikeouts. Ryan O'Sullivan pitched three scoreless innings, giving up one hit. Gonzalez and O'Sullivan combined to retire 15 of the final 16 batters faced.

First pitch on Wednesday morning with the Portland Sea Dogs begins at 11:35 am from FirstEnergy Stadium.
