DUBUQUE, Iowa - Yet another Fighting Saints veteran has made a key decision on his hockey future. Forward TJ Moor has committed to attend Clarkson University, where he will play for the Golden Knights in the Eastern College Hockey Conference (ECAC) beginning in the 2012-13 season.

Moor, a 20-year-old native of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, won the Clark Cup with the Fighting Saints in 2010-11, scoring 7 goals and adding 13 assists over 53 games in his first USHL season. Through 29 games this season, Moor has eclipsed his production from last year with 7 goals and 14 assists.

"The coaches at Clarkson showed how much they wanted me," Moor said. "They were very consistent, and helped me out through the NCAA process. Coach Montgomery told me good things about their coaching staff, too. I think is going to be a great time and a great life experience."

Fighting Saints Head Coach Jim Montgomery has consistently pointed to Moor as a model player for the Fighting Saints organization, and is pleased to see him rewarded with a scholarship.

"The Dubuque Fighting Saints are really happy for TJ Moor," he said. "We believe that we give players opportunities and tools to be able to reach their lifetime goals. TJ is the perfect example of what we want in a Fighting Saint. He went out and earned everything that he got, and we're glad that he's going to be able to a student athlete at a Division 1 school on a scholarship for four years."

With Moor's commitment added to the total, the Fighting Saints now have eleven players committed to play NCAA Division 1 hockey.

This week, the Fighting Saints will travel to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, for a Saturday game with the Stampede. Pregame coverage starts at 6:35 p.m. on Dubuque's Super Hits 106 and SuperHits106.com. The team will next play at home on Thursday, January 19, when they host Team USA at the Mystique Community Ice Center at 7:05 p.m.
