Indiana Ice News Release
WINNING FORMULA: The Ice began 2012 the way they closed out 2011 in winning fashion as the team captured a 3-2 road victory Friday at Waterloo and a 4-1 home win against Youngstown on Saturday. Dalton Izyk stopped 27 shots to lead Indy past the Black Hawks as Christian Hilbrich, Emil Romig and Matt Krug provided the scoring. Jon Gillies turned back 36 shots in the win versus the Phantoms, while Dan Sherer, Drew Smolcynski, Woody Hudson and Daniil Tarasov potted goals.
TEN CENT PISTOL: The Ice is 8-0-2 in their last ten games and has not lost in regulation since 12/4/11 versus Green Bay. The franchise record for consecutive games without a regulation loss is 11 and was set by the 2008-09 Clark Cup champion team who went 10-0-1 from 10/10/08-11/8/08.
