Fighting Saints Renew Rivalry with Black Hawks Tonight

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Fighting Saints will complete playing home games on back-to-back nights for the first time all season tonight when the rival Waterloo Black Hawks visit the Mystique Community Ice Center at 7:05. The Fighting Saints defeated the Lincoln Stars last night, building a 4-2 first period lead before holding off the Stars for a 5-4 victory. *Matt Morris *made twenty-two saves in his return to the lineup after a nearly two month absence.

The Black Hawks snapped a five-game winless streak last night when they defeated the Des Moines Buccaneers 2-0 in Des Moines. Over that five-game span, the Black Hawks compiled an 0-2-3 record, but they had won each of their previous five games. The Black Hawks rank seventh in the USHL in both goals scored per game (3.14) and goals allowed per game (2.95).

Tonight's game is the second in a stretch of six consecutive games at home for the Fighting Saints. The Fighting Saints will take a break for Christmas next weekend, and return to the ice on December 28, when they host Green Bay. The week's action will continue on Friday, December 30, and Saturday, December 31, when Sioux Falls and Fargo make their lone regular season visits to the Mystique Community Ice Center.
